Membership in the Society for Intercultural Education, Training and Research Canada (SIETAR Canada) is open to all individuals and institutions that support the organization’s mission and objectives. We offer several membership categories to suit your needs.
As an inclusive organization, SIETAR Canada wishes to remove all barriers to membership.
The membership rates proposed for the 2026 – 2027 calendar year are based on an analysis of membership rates at other SIETAR organizations. The proposed rates are designed to position SIETAR Canada as a credible, professional organization serving intercultural practitioners. The proposed rates fall in the middle between the highest rate (SIETAR Switzerland CHF 180/$270 CAD) and the lowest rate (SIETAR Japan ¥10,000/$87 CAD).
Membership will be from when the member signs up for a one-year period. There will be no prorated amounts.
Full rate individual membership $100 CAD
Open to anyone whose interests are consistent with those of SIETAR Canada; provides access to all SIETAR benefits, including workshops, webinars, newsletters, and networking events.
Reduced rate individual membership $50 CAD
Students, retirees, First Nations/Inuit/Metis peoples.
If the full membership fee is a barrier, individuals may qualify for the reduced rate upon request
Institution - Academic and government $400 CAD
Institution - Corporate $500 CAD
Institution - Non-Profit $250 CAD

Members have access to the full range of resources on the SIETAR Canada website and can attend all organized events at no cost.

SIETAR Canada members share a commitment to intercultural understanding and awareness. Our members include educators, trainers, researchers, consultants, and others involved in internationally-related activities, as well as those who are working towards building cross-cultural awareness and understanding throughout their own communities.
We call on our membership for programming ideas, feedback, and discussion about what is important in this region and to how our organization can help our communities grow interculturally. As an International affiliate of SIETAR Global, SIETAR Canada benefits from worldwide networks of other SIETAR members.
Membership Benefits are numerous and include opportunity to be part of an interculturalist community, to share and learn from our colleagues, as well as connect with SIETARs globally.
SIETAR Canada offers 4 -5 opportunities annually to add knowledge and skills to your intercultural repertoire, to make connections, and to enjoy time with others who are learning and sharing across and among cultures.
